My hope is that the brushstrokes, textures, and colors blend together to create a sense of romance, as you step into the exotic solitude of another time and place.

Every so often on my journeys I encounter an object — a chair, an awning, perhaps a bridge or cobbled path — which stops and intrigues me. Although couched in its own setting, I place it in an altogether different context more suited to the purpose of my painting.

Such is the case in Ponte de la Christi. The small bridge by the chapel, in its newly created surroundings, leads you across the Venetian canal or toward the chapel and restaurant. The choice is yours.

My intention is to create space you can call your own. I particularly enjoy making somone wonder what lies beyond a bridge, around a corner, or down an enticing waterway.
